Before colonization separated symbolism through organized religious practices, water was revered in many cultures. Long before commercial ritual products existed, water was prepared as a living ceremonial vessel holding botanical, oceanic and geometric intelligence.
Òròmi’s arrival becomes the understanding that water is the first archive of the earth. It is a source of wisdom, spirit, and memory simply being brought back into visible form. Òròmi continues that lineage as a consecrated water; what many traditions would call holy water. One that is prepared through prayer and intentionally blessed. A water known for restoration, supporting not only cleansing, protection and sealing, but the rehydration of the bodies inner field. It teaches the body how to hold what it receives by integrating and fossilizing its transformation through water coding.
Water represents origin, an element from which all of life begins. The act of communing with it represents its return: to come back to oneself intentionally. Each return happens with more innerstanding than the last; as if the first time was only scratching the surface. As you continuously circle each time, you revisit the origin point at a wider level of awareness: deepening the craft, the lessons and the process. Repetition over time inevitably creates expansion. With all of life, growth happens by circling its origin point or its known center again and again, each time becoming larger in circumference, while maintaining its coherence of where it comes from. This is known as geometric motion.
Òròmi is a spiral practice, where the botanicals and prayers inside become living teachers that guide each cycle differently.
In etheric botanical preparations, plants are understood as essences with energetic signatures; these are vital forces composed of vibrational imprints that can be expressed. Water is seen as the messenger, the elemental medium between breath and intention. All the while fundamentally residing within every living organisms. As it travels between realms: carrying these signature imprints from intent to water, from water to the body, and finally from the body to etheric form.
Each plant within Òròmi carries a long evolutionary memory: how it protects itself, how it opens, how it heals, how it attracts and intercedes with life. How it survives and even its adaption given its environment. When infused into water, their presence introduces energetic archetypes into the field it connects with. They become voices inside the water, where each botanical participates in supporting you through release, protection, restoration, and spiritual reconnection every time Òròmi is used.
Each time you return to Òròmi, the botanicals begin to 'address themselves' differently depending on where you are in the spiral of life (the inhale or the exhale)
In the inhale cycle, a protective herb may feel like its shielding. In the pause cycle, the same herb may feel like it’s assisting with having clarity in boundaries. While in exhale season it may finally express itself as the courage to release what no longer serves you (these are all in fact the same lessons you may have been circling around consistently, but before external change occurs, implementing the lesson must live within you first)
Nothing has changed within the plant, what’s changed is the stage of the person’s awareness and their season within the spirals(intent met with time)
Òròmi becomes an ecological companion that greets you as your own consciousness deepens.
Think of it like this:
Water provides the movement. It acts as a conduit governing contact with the state of which desires change.
The spiral provides the structure and containment. The state of how everything you are is condensed into physical form as memory preserved in time.
As an example: the child you were is still present within the adult that lives as you today.
The botanicals and prayer provide the instruction.
The different chapters Òròmi can be used within life’s spiral:
Inhale: In preparations for new opportunities (new beginnings) introducing personal commencements, rights of passages such as thresholds, milestones, birthdays, new homes (house blessings) business launches, and within incorporating commitments.
Òròmi can be used with (re)connecting with history, ancestral work, offering homage while evolving beyond generational imprinting (inherited responses to our roots or the lack thereof) healing within the lineage, memorials, family transitions, and legacy.
Asking for provision, guidance, direction or help with those we surround ourselves with.
Pause: Locking in with prayer, manifestation, enhancing one’s intuition, receptivity, and forward motion. Òròmi can be used while opening the channel of creative inspiration, writing, uplifting the spirit and frequency around you, journaling, inventions, consecrated decisions, spaces and alters. Protecting newly opened paths, during meditation, dream work, prayer, and studying.
Exhale: Dissolving emotional, spiritual, and environmental residue (heavy vibrations)
Especially after conflict and discord (arguments), exhaustion, fatigue, stress, endings, closure and liberation from timelines and agreements.
Rest: Nervous system regulation and rehydration. Returning the body to safety and to its natural internal coherence (sanctuary: being at home with your body) calling back your energy, during baths, body as temple ceremonies, evening rituals, when overwhelmed, in need of recovery, deep rest, a hard reset, to harmonize, balance or reintroducing fortification to the spirit and vessel during repose or illness.
Òròmi’s deep plum tone reflects transformation and depth, symbolizing the meeting place where antiquity awakens. Allowing purification and change to happen overtime.
Òròmi is especially useful for healers, birth workers, intuitives, and artists whose emotional labor is central to their offerings.
Specifically for the one who holds spirit as it arrives (Porteuse d’Anima) and departs (Porteuse du Ritorno): Aka the midwife and doula:
Òròmi gently holds both body and soul, or mother and child, in the liminal space between spirit and embodiment. This makes it a powerful ally during births, ego deaths, rebirths, and transitions of completion. It offers protection to those who partake in or guide souls across timelines; both to and from the Caretaker of the Origin: creation, the source of divinity, or simply put, God.
